Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes

    in General Discussions

Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes has seen Mut 22 coins his Madden ranking slide for the second consecutive week.

The video game franchise released its most recent updates for players following the Week 9 results, and Mahomes is down a percentage point from his overall rating to the 97 mark. Mahomes started the year an active member of the Madden 99 club but fell out after Week 8.

Mahomes who has the Madden Cover and Tom Brady for this year's game, could be dealing with the dreadful "Madden curse" because he hasn't been able to perform at the level that we're used to seeing from him.

This year's NFL MVP has thrown 10 interceptions across nine games this season, the second-highest in the league. He threw 11 picks the previous two seasons.

Mahomes hasn't had the best of performances in the 13-7 loss on Sunday to the Green Bay Packers, throwing for an unseasonally low 166 yards and an 54.1 completion rate with one touchdown. He was playing his third straight game with under 300 yards of passing and he hasn't scored more than one touchdown in a game since Week 6.

Mahomes was not the only one to cheap Madden 22 coins drop in the ratings. Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford was able to drop from 85 to at 84 after throwing 2 interceptions for the first time in the season during Sunday's loss to the Tennessee Titans.
